Current Vacancies: Part-time facilitators


We have vacancies for 3-6 part time facilitators. If you have some experience in working with young people and/or facilitation training, you are eligible to apply. We welcome those from all backgrounds.

Job description

Facilitators will be responsible for delivering FODIP’s Hear to Hear methodology, designed to assist in discussion of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, to young people aged 16-19 years. They will be required to help run 4 x 2 hour sessions (weekday evening or Sunday afternoon) in one or more locations, as available: Manchester, Leicester or Leeds. Full support and expert input will be provided.

Training will involve 20 hours, preferably as a 2/3 day residential programme (dates to be agreed) or over several weeks. Remuneration for this will be at the rate of £10 per hour.

Payment will be on an hourly basis at the rate of £30 per hour. All necessary accommodation, travel and subsistence will be provided.

Person specification

This is a challenging role, and requires sensitivity and understanding. Those appointed must possess the ability to empathise with participants while being able to keep the session on track. Also essential is the ability to relate to those who hold a religious world view.

Some experience of working with young people on issues of identity, or of conflict resolution, is desirable.
While the participating clients will be Jewish, Christian or Muslim, facilitators may be of any faith tradition or of none.
